New York- A group of distinguished panelists including Nepal’s prolific social entrepreneur Dr. Bishnu Maya Pariyar, founding President & Chief Patron, ADWAN.ORG, have shared and discussed on role of education in rural family, rural women and girls hosted by Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) International and co-sponsored The Guild of Service in New York on March 16, 2018.

The panelists were Dr. Pariyar (Nepal); Ambassador Isaiah Chabala (Zambia); Social activist Ms. Meera Khanna (India); Dr. Sandra Barrueco (Associate Prof. of Psychology, The Catholic University of America); Ms. Maile T. Phillips, doctoral student & research assistant at Yale University. The event was moderated by Ms. Krista Smith, Project Manager of WFWP International.

Dr. Pariyar serves as Co-Chair of NGO CSW New York Consultation Day where 900 participants from around the world have participated. NGO CSW New York is hosting more than 450 parallel side events on the sideline of 62nd Sessions of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York. This year’s CSW62 theme is “Challenges and Opportunities in achieving Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Rural Women and Girls.”
