Laxmi you were born,
on the day of the festival of lights.
Spreading the light of knowledge across the world.

You were and still are the source of knowledge and wisdom,
and laid a foundation in the Nepali Literary kingdom.

At the age of 10, you started writing,
and continued to focus on your dreams.
You were considered as one of the famous icons in the field of Nepali Literature,
and gave us a benign feeling about poetry.

Nepali literature soared to new heights,
with your groundbreaking poetry's light.
Best known for the poem "Muna Madan"
it gives the glimpse of being apart from the country.

You have written great works in Nepali language,
and accomplished many in English language.
On the year of 1959  at the age of 50,
it was a tragic day in Nepali history.

Our sincere tribute to you would be to try and
introduce your breathtaking literary works to the world at large.

We celebrate this day to remember you and your
great literacy,
and to admire your literature.
