न्यू योर्क- बेटर बिजिनेस ब्युरो (BBB) द्वारा जारी U.S. Census 2010 मा भाग लिदा ध्यान दिनु पर्ने कुराहरु:

-तपाईंको घरमा आउँने जनगणना संकलनकर्तासंग उसको परिचय पत्र, जनगणना ब्याग, जनगणना संकलन गर्ने मेशिन र गोप्यता कानुनको सुचना पत्र हुनेछ। तर कहिल्यै पनि तपाईंले नचिनेको मान्छेलाई आफ्नो घर भित्र नडाक्नुहोस्।

-If a U.S. Census worker knocks on your door, they will have a badge, a handheld device, a Census Bureau canvas bag, and a confidentiality notice. Ask to see their identification and their badge before answering their questions.  However, you should never invite anyone you don't know into your home.

-जनगणना संकलनकर्ताहरुले अहिले तपाईंको घरको ठेगानाको पक्का गर्न त्यहाँ आएकाहुन्।

-Census workers are currently only knocking on doors to verify address information.

-कुनै पनि हालतमा तपाईंको सोसल सेकुरिटी नम्बर, क्रेडिट कार्ड नम्बर या बैंक खाताको विवरण कसैलाई पनि नदिनुहोस्। जनगणनाको लागि भनेर कसैले दाबी गरे पनि, त्यो झुठो हो, नबताउनुहोस्।

-Do not give your Social Security number, credit card or banking information to anyone, even if they claim they need it for the U.S. Census.

-जनगणना संकलनकर्ताले जे कुरो सोधे पनि, तपाईंले भन्नु पर्ने भनेको तपाईं बसेको ठेगाना (घर) मा कति जना बस्छन् भन्ने मात्र हो।

-REMEMBER, NO MATTER WHAT THEY ASK, YOU REALLY ONLY NEED TO TELL THEM HOW MANY PEOPLE LIVE AT YOUR  ADDRESS.

-जनगणना संकलनकर्ताले तपाईंको कमाइ (आर्थिक) विवरण सोध्न सक्छन्, उदाहरणको लागि; तपाईंको तलब कति छ? तर तपाईंले यसबारे केही भन्नु जरुरी छैन।

-While the Census Bureau might ask for basic financial information, such as a salary range, YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT YOUR FINANCIAL SITUATION.

-अमेरिकि सेन्सस ब्युरोले कहिल्यै पनि तपाईंको सोसल सेकुरिटी नम्बर, क्रेडिट कार्ड नम्बर या बैंक खाताको विवरण सोध्दैन र यसको कर्मचारी या जनगणना संकलनकर्ताले सहयोग (Donation) माग्दैनन्। यदी कसैले यि कुराहरु माग्छ भने ऊ ब्युरोको कर्मचारी होइन।

-The Census Bureau will not ask for Social Security, bank account, or credit card numbers, nor will employees solicit donations.  Any one asking for that information is NOT with the Census Bureau.

-र ख्याल गर्नुहोस्, सेन्सस ब्युरोले अकोर्न (ACORN) भन्ने संस्थासंग मिलेर जनगणना संकलन नगर्ने निर्णय गरेकोछ। अकोर्न संस्थाका कर्मचारी ब्युरोसंग सम्बन्धित भन्दै जनगणना संकलन गर्न सक्दैनन्।

-AND REMEMBER, THE CENSUS BUREAU HAS DECIDED NOT TO WORK WITH ACORN ON GATHERING THIS INFORMATION. No Acorn worker should approach you saying he/she is with the Census Bureau.

-जनगणना संकलनकर्ताले टेलिफोन, हुलाकी चिठ्ठी या घर मै आएर तपाईंलाई संपर्क गर्नेछन्। तर ईमेलबाट संपर्क गर्दैनन्। सेन्सस ब्युरो जस्तै नाम गरेर ईमेल स्क्याम गरेको हुन सक्छ। कहिल्यै पनि शंकास्पद ईमेलको लिङ्क र एटेच गरी आएको फाइल नखोल्नुहोस्।

-Eventually, Census workers may contact you by telephone, mail, or in person at home. However, the Census Bureau will not contact you by Email, so be on the lookout for Email scams impersonating the Census. Never click on a link or open any attachments in an Email that are supposedly from the U.S. Census Bureau.
