How we protect your information

NepaliCount.com respects your privacy and it does not share your personal information (i.e. name and contact (email) to any other party that you provide during the registration process.

We do not collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) i.e. user’s date of birth, social security number (SSN) etc. A valid email is collected to verify the user and to contact in case we need to inform about the updates.

The purpose of Data Collected from Online Form

NepaliCount.com is a dynamic data generation social networking portal which will facilitate the count of Nepali people in the United States as well as in the rest of the world. Our goal is to encourage the Nepalese community as a whole, and Nepalese individuals in particular, to play a significant role in promoting the importance and value of the 2010 census count in the United States and counting Nepalese in other countries.

Counting, Listing Name

The user data will be generated automatically when a user enters her/his first name, last name, email, country of residence and city, province or state and submits by clicking the “I Join” button. The user data will be instantly recorded for analysis and will appear under the “Population by Country” link in alphabetical order. The user can search her/his name by using search box or “Population by Country” or Find Your Name”. The user data (info) will be protected under the international and U.S. cyber laws, privacy policies.

We will not disclose (publish) or share or use your email except we may contact you via email regarding our upcoming events, survey, polls and if we make any changes in our Terms of Use (TOU), Privacy Policy etc. In that case, we will give email recipient an ‘unsubscribe’ option.

User’s commitment

You agree that upon registration, your name country of residence and city or province or state will appear on the NepaliCount.com portal. You also agree that this signifies your intention to participate in the “Be Counted” campaign, but does not create any binding relationship or obligations between you and NepaliCount.com, and you hold harmless NepaliCount.com for any liabilities incurred to you in relation to this listing except in the case of NepaliCount.com’s negligence.

Disclosure to Law Enforcement

However, the TOU prohibits the use of our services for illegal activities. Therefore, user agrees that NepaliCount.com may disclose any and all user information including assigned account history (i.e. name, IP address, email etc.) to any government  law enforcement agency that requests such information, provided they posses the proper court-approved warrant, without consent or notification to the user (you).

Which Data will be collected automatically?

When you visit NepaliCount.com our system automatically collects the following information from you:
-The Internet protocol (IP) address from which you access NepaliCount.com. An IP address is a unique number that is automatically assigned to each computer.
