मान्छे मा जब गलत लाई चिन्न र समय अवस्था अनुसार आफु लाई अगाडी बढाउन सके मात्रै मगर माथि आउन सक्छ
मगर संस्था जाता ततै खोलिय का छन त्यहा गीत र दोहोरी मात्रै होइन की बैचारिक बहस हुनु परयो मगर संस्था का नेता हरु ले समाज सुधारको लागि पैसा हुने संग पैसा लिनु परयो,बिचार हुने संग बिचार लिनु परयो , टाइम हुने संग टाइम लिनु परयो जहा जो संग जे छ त्यों संग समाज को लागि लिनु परयो हुने ले दिनु परयो संस्था मा हुने ले संस्था लाई निजी पेवा ठान्ने र जो संग समाज को हित को लागि २ शब्द छ त्यों दिन लाई कंजुश्याई गर्ने हो भने नयाँ पुस्ता लाई के दिन सकिन्छ ?

मगर संस्था खोले र राजनिति गर्ने निजी स्वार्थ को लागि सिद्धान्त बदल्ने जस्ता सस्तो लोकप्रियता रोजने मगर हरु को कौटिल्यता बुझ्न सक्ने स्वयम मगर हुनु परयो गोरे बहादुर खापंगी को पुच्छर समातेर बैतरणी तर्न खोज्ने मगर हरुलाई कसले सम्झाउने ? यो मगर हरु को कमी कमजोरी पहिचान गरी अगाडी बढे मा मगर जातीको बिकास हुनेछ यो बुझ्न को लागि एजूकेशन चाहिन्छ मगर हरु ले मेहनत गरेर पढ्नु परयो मगर का बच्चा ले १० क्लास नपुग्दै बाटो बदल्नु अथवा बिराउनु दिनु भयन एसमा मगर महिला को महत्वों पूर्ण हात हुन्छ यहाँ महिला र पुरुष को बारेमा बहस गर्नु पर्दा महिला र पुरुष १ सिक्का का २ पाता हुन महिला आफ्नै कारण ले सिक्का को घोप्टो अथवा तल्लो पाता रहन गयो मगर महिला को कुरा गर्नु पर्दा हामी धेरै पछाडी छौ मगर महिला को बारे मा केही लेख्ने जमर्को गरेकी छू मगर हरु अगाडी आउनको लागि महिला लाई सछम बनाउनु परयो

Your comment on the news of the 5th anniversary celebration of Langhali Association USA, Inc, has caught our attention. Therefore, we have moral obligation to respond on behalf of the organization.

1. Your comment clearly reflects that you didn’t even read the news thoroughly.

2. There is always purpose behind organizing the event. This was purely anniversary celebration, which was divided in two phases – formal and cultural. Read the news again to find how the formal program was conducted! Digital Photos Slide Show Presentation of the activities of the organization from the beginning to date was also presented during the event.

3. We were surprised to note that you intentionally ignored the cultural aspect of our (Magar) identity, which is the most important one that has been differentiating us from other groups of people for generations. Cultural program is being important part of the event not only to entertain the participants but also passing our age-long traditions to the new generations. Isn’t this education? Therefore, let’s respect our cultural values and traditions. Sadly your comment serves the interest of other non-janajati groups of people who always try to label us being racist.

4. Why are you dragging Mr. Gore Bahadur Khapangi Magar jiu here? Any mistakes he committed were his personal and political decisions and he has been facing the consequences on his own. Instead of digging in what mistake he made, we should appreciate what he contributed to the Magar community as a whole.

5. Magar organizations of 21st century (in your words), which are spread around the world have one mission – work towards preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage (identity) among us. Wherever they are geographically located, these organizations have been doing tremendously good job to carry their mission whatever ways they possibly can. Without their noble efforts, we would not be able to see the revival of our culture from villages to the cities then overseas like in Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, India, Belgium, Canada, United States and so on.

These organizations are not only focusing on cultural activities but also discussions, campaigns, interactions programs with noted personalities, and experts when they visit respective countries and vice versa. Not only these, they are raising funds for projects like Nepal Wireless Network, medical treatment of Magar bandhus who are in dire need of money, schools and so on. This means they are also contributing towards the development efforts of Nepal one way or other. What we should also know that these organizations, which are purely social by nature, have been run by generous contributions of their members not hypocrites.

6. We don’t think that those who have been serving the Board as officials/ officers are taking the organization as their personal entity. While exercising the authority to implement the plans, some times the officers have to take the firm stand. Otherwise, there will not be any discipline then the institutions collapse sooner or later. Blaming others is very simple and easy but running the social organizations are challenging. Contributing (within the capacity) to the community we belong to is definitely rewarding. Therefore, appreciate what other members are doing and contribute what you can…full stop!!

7. Those who are intellectuals in true sense, but not self-claimed ones, offer their ideas, suggestions and constructive criticism to the organizations on their own. They also have got the responsibility towards the betterment of the community they belong to. When we ask so-called intellectuals to contribute the articles to publish in our journals, why do they pretend that they do not have time? What kind of justification is that???

8. Whatever these Magar organizations are doing these days is the process of passing our cultural heritage/identity to future generations. Of course, parents are sending their kids to school for formal education. We don’t think that anybody undermines the importance of education that you have mentioned in your comment.

9. Yes, we all agree that the active participation of Magar women is not encouraging the way it is expected. We are very concerned about this situation. However, those who can spare the time and want to contribute their own perspectives, they must come forward and do so. Magar organizations are always open to those who are interested in relevant issues. There is not gender discrimination in Magar organizations.

10. What specific ideological and intellectual debate you would like Magar organizations to initiate? Some of the issues, like education, you have raised through your comment are outdated. Come up with the new ones, which are logical and you can justify your argument then we can debate upon. Otherwise, the debate will be nothing but distracting and waste of time!
